I knew I wanted to draw a deer when I drew this piece. I had a very very challenging day and drawing was what I needed to help me focus on the positive. So I went and research. And this time instead of just picking a reindeer picture and starting there, I decided to find out what the exact kind of deer the bible was referring to. Well, it wasn’t deep research, but I concluded that a reindeer probably wasn’t the deer that was on a high hill.

Come Home (poem)
Come home, though your face is dirty, though you smell like trash
Come home, though you’ve got nothing left
Choosing Joy
There are many forms of joy. The joy of creating beauty, the joy of receiving a gift, the joy of expressing love.
But there is another kind of joy that if chosen, far outweighs it all. A joy that breaks through the hard ground, hopes in the darkness and sings in the chaos. This joy gives strength when there is not a fibre of your being left to hold on. It is a joy so deep and so fulfilling, because it stems from the very heart of God.
Little Daisies//Everyday Beauties
These unsung little flowers are my favourite flowers.
Why? Precisely because they minister in their own little way. They spring up as they are, white and yellow beauties on the ground. And sometimes, actually get stepped on without being noticed.
Little Things// Ladybug on Flower
Life is often about the little things.
The silly shaped clouds, the flappy dog outside your house and sometimes (if you try hard enough) – the pile of dishes that you are washing.
And the little things often speak more of life than the occasional grand moments that we pursue so hard after.
