On a lovely white pillow in my room, is a cross-stitched art with these words from Ephesians 2:10 in the Bible ‘ For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.’
One night, as I stared at it, I found the word ‘anew’ jump at me. In Christ I am created anew.
I was looking at an old drawing of mine, and I suddenly started to really admire it. I asked the Lord in passing ‘ I drew this?’
The Father knows each heartbeat,
Each time I rise, each time I sit.
He knows every moment, the things I do;
Yet He loves me through and through.
Come home, though your face is dirty, though you smell like trash
Come home, though you’ve got nothing left
Paul along with Luke was on a boat that had encountered a mighty storm. They had tried all means for survival. They had thrown cargo offboard, they had let go of the ships tackle.
They had exhausted all possible efforts.
But verse 20 of Acts 27 records this
When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved.
