2026 has begun! Here are 4 Habits I’m choosing to develop for the new year

I used to write new year resolutions when I was younger. All the enthusiasm meant I gave myself really high achieving goals that I faltered at by February, making me ditch my resolution by March. I’ve settled on various other things after that, and lately, I’ve been realising its not so much about goals but habits that matter. Rather than impossible task that pressure me, I’ve chosen to invest in little things that I can do again and again that shape me to be a better person.

Wonderfully Made//Orchid

Sometimes the truth about yourself reaches your heart easily, sometimes it takes time.

And for me the truth that I’m wonderfully made is one of those truth that takes a little longer to sink in than usual.

I don’t think I’m alone in this, but one moment you can feel and you know that you are indeed a work of art and another moment (especially when you slip up) the condemning voice comes again and tells you ‘hey, you’re not good enough’.

Choosing Joy

There are many forms of joy. The joy of creating beauty, the joy of receiving a gift, the joy of expressing love.

But there is another kind of joy that if chosen, far outweighs it all. A joy that breaks through the hard ground, hopes in the darkness and sings in the chaos. This joy gives strength when there is not a fibre of your being left to hold on. It is a joy so deep and so fulfilling, because it stems from the very heart of God.

Wildflowers // Thrive

Here in our world live feisty little blossoms called wildflowers. Fighting for life in areas most unlikely and unheard of., they grow where they find themselves scattered. Against all odds. Surfacing through cracks and drains and messy patches of weeds.
