‘Flowers of The Field’

Somewhere in the midst of a grassy field is a patch of daisies starting to bloom, joining the symphony of spring flowers, small but significant. The seeds have laid dormant through winter, and these flowers of the field are now ready to face the sunshine.

Lessons from the Lift: Finding Peace, Perspective and Perseverance when you are stuck

I got stuck in a lift a few days ago. It was a one hour ordeal. It was not the best day of the week already, and as I entered the lift and realised it didn’t close properly nor could open, I had to face the reality – the reality of getting stuck in a lift for some time till help comes.

The thing about this incident is that it reminded me of some issues in my life I had been stuck in for ages, that I would rather not have been reminded of it. But a mini miracle happened that day, and rather than going down the usual spiral of negative thought patterns – this time – I managed to find some gems and life lessons through this harmless ordeal.

Interrogated for a miracle : The story of the man born blind (Part II)

It was the best day of my life, and it was about to get a little challenging before it became even better.

Let me explain. This man named Jesus, He put mud on my eyes, and asked me to go to the pool of Siloam to wash and I washed and came back seeing.

It was one of the most transformational and exciting moment of my life ever.

The gaze that met my eyes : The story of the man born blind

‘Have you ever felt gazes? Like just the feeling.

I have.

In fact I couldn’t see since I was born but I could always feel a gaze.

Most of them were gazes of disgust, of judgement, or of the bad example.

‘Don’t you ever lie or steal Benyamin, you’ll end up like that man there who can’t see.’ a woman once said as I felt the gaze of this boy name Benyamin change from curiosity to disgust.

God’s 555 book: Grace underserved yet given freely

I been having an unusual wrestling match with God.

Having grown up as someone disciplined upbringing wise, I always understood the reward system very well, but find it hard to accept grace for myself.
