Somewhere in the midst of a grassy field is a patch of daisies starting to bloom, joining the symphony of spring flowers, small but significant. The seeds have laid dormant through winter, and these flowers of the field are now ready to face the sunshine.
Some may say these flowers are nothing much. After all, they are here today and gone tomorrow. Yet, each of these flowers know that they are unique and special; each petal, each pollen grain crafted with care.
Occasionally, a butterfly swings by, smelling its fragrant scent and lifting off some of its seed to be spread. Together, they make a beautiful field of joy that any girl would happily dance over or lay on.
These daisies know what they are. Yet, they also know what they are not.
They may not be like the towering rose, magnificently nurtured and intentionally planted as an expression for love. Planted to be placed in hotels and restaurants, the star of a flower bouquet.
They may not be like the flaming paradise flower, brilliant in colour, adorning gardens, swimming pool fronts and landscapes.
These flowers of the field often find themselves a bit more humble in their existence, but they know they are no less significant.
For they know that if they could be so preciously crafted although they are here today and gone tomorrow, they surely do remind humanity of its glorious significance in the eye of the Creator.
