Knowing my Worth //Wild Geese

I remember that moment, my heart was pounding as I submitted a framed print of mine for an auction. I knew it was a print, it was a Christian charity auction, and I thought it was compulsory to submit something so that was my submission.

I wanted to take it away when I realised it was not compulsory. I mean, who will want to get a print for an auction.

Far beyond my knowledge, God will use this incident to minister to me, even at this moment. Now.

As I cleared my room, including repositioning artwork, My mind went back to that moment during the charity auction.

The auctioneer was Brian Heasley, a famous Leader, Writer and one of the leaders of 247 Prayer International. The auction was brilliant, amazing stuff being put on auctioned and bought at good rates all for a good cause. I was wondering and fearing for my print – I mean, I didn’t even think it would be worth like a starting price of 15?

After some time, Brian, knowing there were too many things to auction, then announced that he will auction two more objects. For the rest, people can then come and buy for a price the other objects. Phew, I thought, no embarrassment on my part at least.

Except that, my art became one of the two remaining pieces to be sold.

Somehow it had caught Brian’s eyes, and that simple print of wild geese became an auctioned piece. I was absolutely dumbfounded, and I wanted to humbly admit it was just a print!!! But when I wanted to blurt that out, it was like this great force just shut my mouth and it got auction and eventually bought by Brian himself for a whooping 500.

I heard a whisper that evening, that has ministered to me in all my moment of brokenness ‘Eunice, you are worth more than you think you are’ and that simple act was proof for me.
